The problem

Raw 3D scans are too large and unwieldy to use directly in an interactive XR environment.

The work

V-ROCK supports virtual geological fieldwork and site inspection at TU Delft. My contribution focused on the asset pipeline: turning 3D scans into optimized meshes through a repeatable workflow, using custom tools I built for the conversion process.

My contribution

Built custom tools and a workflow to convert 3D scans into optimized meshes for the project.

The result

A repeatable scan-to-mesh workflow for preparing detailed site data for interactive use.
